IT Infrastructure & Data Platform Engineer

Are you ready to shape technology that powers high performance in sport? As an IT Infrastructure & Data Platform Engineer, you will play a key role within Corporate Projects IT, supporting the Athlete Performance Center (APC) and its connected ecosystem of platforms, applications, infrastructure, and specialized sports technologies. Through your work, you will help create the technological foundation that enables athletes, coaches, sports scientists, researchers, and practitioners to perform at their best

In this role, you will implement, operate, and continuously enhance infrastructure, cloud services, business applications, and data platforms. Working closely with Red Bull’s global IT organization, you will leverage existing platforms, services, and architectural standards while delivering solutions tailored to local business needs. From building integrations and improving platform reliability to supporting users and specialized sports technologies, you will help ensure that technology drives innovation, security, and smooth day-to-day operations.

EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • Higher education in IT or economics/law with strong affiliation to IT or equivalent work experience
  • Fluent English skills, German is a plus
  • At least five years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, platform engineering, systems engineering or in a comparable technical role
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Strong understanding of networking, identity and access management, endpoint management, IT security principles and modern IT operations
  • A proven track record in APIs, integrations, scripting, automation, or programming languages such as Python is considered an advantage
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across infrastructure, applications and user-facing technologies
  • Experience with technology sourcing, vendor management and external service providers
  • Strong sense of ownership and a hands-on approach to engineering, operations, and support along with a customer-focused mindset and willingness to support users when needed
  • Experience with sports technology, laboratory systems, medical devices, or performance-focused environments is a plus
  • Passion for sport, technology, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Travel 0-10%
