
Reporting to the Manager, Field Marketing, the Field Marketing Specialist (FMS) helps bring local marketing strategies and community engagement initiatives to life within their region. Working closely with the Field Marketing Manager (FMM), this role builds meaningful relationships across local communities, campuses, and cultural spaces to better understand the interests, trends, and experiences that shape the market.
The FMS gathers local insights and collaborates on the development and execution of creative marketing programs that reflect the needs and interests of their region. This includes supporting initiatives across consumer engagement, sports, culture, and communications, while partnering with on-premise and off-premise teams to maximize impact.
As a field-based role, the FMS works closely with a team of Student Marketeers, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities while helping create authentic brand experiences on campus and throughout the local market. The role plays a key part in building connections with new consumers and fostering engagement within the communities it serves.

Partner with the Consumer Collecting Manager (CCM) and Field Marketing Manager (FMM) to establish goals that encourage product trial, connect with new audiences, and build meaningful engagement both on and off campus.
Provide Student Marketeers with clear guidance, resources, and support to help them successfully plan and execute activities that engage students during key moments and occasions.
Support sales and distribution initiatives by collaborating with internal and external partners to increase product availability, strengthen retail relationships, and enhance visibility in and around university communities.
Collaborate with Student Marketeers to develop creative and relevant campus programs that foster authentic connections and positive experiences for students.
Leverage available tools, insights, and reporting to evaluate program effectiveness, identify opportunities for growth, and ensure outreach efforts are reaching relevant student communities.
Coach and support team members in generating new ideas and approaches that help engage a broad range of consumers and keep programs fresh and impactful.
Coordinate internal and external sampling requests, ensuring activities are aligned with broader team priorities and community needs.
Help create positive and welcoming consumer interactions by providing accurate information, addressing questions, and building trust through authentic engagement.
Recruit and select Student Marketeers who bring diverse perspectives, strong skills, and an enthusiasm for contributing to team and business goals.
Support and implement national recruiting, onboarding, and training programs to help ensure a consistent and positive team member experience.
Coach, mentor, and support Student Marketeers by fostering a sense of ownership, encouraging professional growth, and helping them achieve their individual and team goals.
Create opportunities for learning, development, and leadership growth, helping team members build skills and prepare for future opportunities.
Lead and support a strong Team Leader program by providing guidance, resources, feedback, and development opportunities that enable student leaders to succeed and support their peers effectively.
Plan and support events, community activations, and marketing initiatives that are relevant to local audiences, reflect community interests, and encourage meaningful participation both on campus and within the broader market.
Help deliver a balanced program that includes partnerships with external organizations, events, and community groups across sports, culture, and other areas of interest both on and off campus.
Build relationships with students, creators, community leaders, and other influential voices who help shape local culture and can provide valuable perspectives and connections.
Support the successful execution of national and global campaigns, events, and projects by adapting them to resonate with local audiences and experiences.
Incorporate a variety of sampling and engagement opportunities to connect with consumers in creative ways, including audiences and occasions that may be less accessible through traditional activation methods.
Bring national campaigns, signature events, and global brand initiatives to life on and around campuses while aligning activities with overall program goals and local community needs.
Partner with the FMM to develop, implement, and evaluate creative ideas and programs that are relevant to local communities while supporting broader regional and national initiatives.
Collaborate with the Consumer Collecting team to identify emerging trends, student interests, and digital, social, and technology-driven opportunities that can help strengthen local engagement.
Facilitate idea generation and feedback sessions with Student Marketeers to encourage innovation, gather diverse perspectives, and continuously evolve programs that resonate with students.
Build an understanding of local audiences and their interests to help create meaningful connections through a variety of engagement and sampling opportunities.
Use consumer insights, campus trends, and community feedback to identify opportunities to reach new audiences and enhance the overall participant experience.
Encourage a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning by empowering team members to share ideas and contribute to program development.
Serve as a positive representative of the brand by demonstrating professionalism, collaboration, and an inclusive approach in all interactions.
Help ensure programs and activities are aligned with the interests and needs of local audiences, regularly evaluating opportunities to maximize engagement and impact.
Use available tools, insights, and resources to improve program effectiveness, streamline processes, and support successful outcomes.
Support local operational and logistics needs by helping maintain the resources, equipment, and systems required for program execution.
Partner with local and national teams to help manage product inventory and ensure materials are available to support planned activities and initiatives.
Maintain program resources, vehicles, and branded materials so they remain organized, functional, and ready for use.
Demonstrate flexibility and sound judgment when allocating resources, adapting plans as needed to meet changing priorities and community needs.
Contribute to a well-organized and efficient operating environment by following established processes and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
