The Head of Off Premise holds responsibility for creating and delivering the Off Premise vision, long term plan, annual business plan and quarterly targets. Stay abreast of national market trends and leverage this to identify areas for business development and growth. Present regularly to the Management team on channel performance, plans business development and improvement initiatives. Leading, coaching and development people for future assignments. Ability to delegate, guide and motivate the Off Premise team effectively. Lead and manage budget allocations within the agreed parameters on the focused Red Bull sales fundamentals. As a leadership team, create an engaging team environment, foster an open communication culture and build a trust across cross-functional team
Cooperate with, guide and manage our DP. Set, Track, Drive: Implement the Red Bull Set Priorities, Track the Results and Drive the Action (S.T.D.) principles to formally agree on annual/quarterly/monthly planning, tracking the progress and driving the DP to hit the agreed targets. Be responsible for DP rebates and trade spending budgeting, reimbursement in accordance with Red Bull. Ensure timely, correct and complete weekly and monthly reporting from DP. Conduct regular business reviews with the DP team to communicate company strategy and priorities, review business KPI’s, discuss opportunities and threats in the region, run training and update the sales teams in accordance with an agreed schedule, all while demonstrating a thorough understanding of the distributors’ internal systems and structure. Assign sales, distribution and execution targets to the DP team (and any other relevant team) based on business targets with consistent follow-through of these targets.
Provide execution pieces of trainings, on-the-job training and coaching to DP and their teams, including regular Trade Visits with DP Field teams to coach and unlock distribution and execution opportunities
Ensures DP fully understands and executes the Red Bull execution / merchandising standards
Plan and Execute incentive programs in line with company targets to keep sales representatives focused and motivated. Be a credible beverage business consultant to DPs and customers and act as a category captain by presenting the category and Red Bull brand Potential
Leverage industry and company insights and recommendations to grow sales and market share. Build a strong/direct relationship with Key Account and get their buy-in in our marketing and trade program. Understand retailers’ key initiatives and participate in them. Develop and evaluate a disciplined promotional program to achieve volume targets by the customer, and support the DP to implement. Work with the DP to develop Power Partnerships that generate long term value for Red Bull, Customers and Consumers. Analyse available data sources (e.g. Nielsen, scanner and customer data) and derive customer’s growth opportunities. Develop effective partnerships for Red Bull to be regarded as a key supplier and engine for profitable growth. Jointly develop winning customer category strategies and conceptual sell presentations utilizing the latest insights and trends.
Define structure according to vision and organizational needs. Motivate and engage team members in accordance with Red Bull principles and tools. Build capability and talent and ensure a clear succession plan for the function
Ensure the development of existing talent, and recruitment of new talent to enable a high performing team, always. Manage field team (internal/external) with clear direction/guidance and motivate them to win in-field and recognize their wins.
Manage trade spending budget for Off Premise programs and initiatives and track ROI. Ensure budget usage is strictly in line with Red Bull policy. Consistently update accurate volume forecasts based on a solid adherence to the S&OP process. Work in close alignment with finance during monthly, quarterly and annual budget review and tracking cycles. Develop joint annual plans with the DP (bottom up) in regard to organization requirements, distribution, volume, investments, and KPI on a timely basis
Bring trade and consumer insights into the annual planning cycle, looking for opportunities to always grow the business. Effective development and implementation of annual business plan in alignment with the area, DP and HQ counterparts. Engage the leadership team and off premise team in the plan, and ensure timely delivery of the plan. Collaborate across the Leadership Team (Marketing, On-P, Finance, HR, Operations) to ensure consumer activations and cross-functional joint goals are met.
