Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the Senior Manager of Technical Procurement leads the end-to-end strategy and execution for the Permanent Point-of-Sale (POS) category. This role is responsible for category strategy development, supplier relationship management, and product lifecycle management for permanent display solutions, including metal, wire, plastic, and mixed-material structures.
As a strategic partner to the Trade Marketing team, the Senior Manager of Technical Procurement serves as a subject matter expert in materials and sourcing—both current and emerging. They provide critical insight into cost, lead times, quality, and supply implications that inform key business decisions. The role oversees supplier strategy, negotiations, and product development to deliver high-quality, compliant, market-ready solutions that support brand and commercial objectives.
Using data-driven decision making and continuous lifecycle optimization, the Senior Manager of Technical Procurement ensures that products and partnerships deliver sustainable, long-term value. As a key cross-functional leader, this role balances priorities across teams and ensures that procurement decisions are made with a holistic view of their impact on the entire organization.
All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:
Implement the global category framework at the local level, ensuring alignment with HQ Category Leads while developing and executing category and commodity strategies that improve efficiency.
Identify sourcing opportunities by defining, segmenting, and analyzing category spend.
Ensure full compliance with the category management process, including opportunity assessments, portfolio analyses, and strategic follow‑ups.
Align product strategy and local portfolio decisions with key stakeholders to maintain a consistent, category‑driven direction.
Conduct market and supplier research to identify sourcing opportunities and support strategic sourcing initiatives, including multi‑sourcing and supplier transitions.
Reduce costs and improve efficiency by optimizing sourcing processes, product designs, materials, and services.
Perform post‑development commercial analysis, including cost breakdowns and structured evaluations of commodities, suppliers, and commercial impacts.
Conduct root cause analysis of supplier performance issues, enhance corrective action plans, and support timely issue resolution.
Lead the complete sourcing and tender lifecycle, from qualification and supplier briefings to running tenders, negotiating prices, selecting suppliers, and managing commercial impacts.
Support product development from initial brief to buy-ready status, including scope management, timelines, risk management, compliance, certifications, documentation, and sustainability data.
Participate in press checks and ensure that product quality meets all specified requirements.
Ensure accurate product data, documentation, and risk/quality management across all systems and processes.
Support improvements throughout the product lifecycle, including managing complaints, coordinating inspections, and leading product modifications.
Conduct finished goods inspections or manage them through third-party providers.
