We are a team with the ambition to constantly improve our performance on and off the race track. Entering a new era of F1, we are looking to further develop and strengthen our Aerodynamics department in Bicester (UK). We are looking for a Deputy Team Leader. In this role you will be involved in finding new aero direction of development and to coordinate the group in achieving the assigned performance target and deadline.

All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:

You will be responsible for finding new aero direction of development and to coordinate the group in achieving the assigned performance target and deadline.
In collaboration with the entire Aerodynamics Group, the Deputy Team Leader is responsible for driving aerodynamic development of the car forward, pursuing current directions and investigating new concepts.
You will be responsible for the correlation regarding the own area of development with the support of Methodology group.
Support the team in driving aerodynamic development to achieve performance target given by Aero Management and coordinate the Aerodynamics’ projects/activities in full respect of priorities and deadlines. Mentor team members, assisting them whenever possible.
Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects.
Always work in a professional manner regardless of the task set and be pro-active in promoting a positive image for the department/team/sponsors.

EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

Proven people management skills
Familiar in utilizing CFD codes and Linux system
Experience in using OpenFoam, ANSA and NX would be considered as a plus
Strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
Remarkable attitude in problem solving and attention to details
Self-motivated and with a flexible approach to working hours
Ability to scope all tasks thoroughly
Initiative and Innovation

Phd or Master degree with a specialisation in fluid dynamics and/or numerical methods
Travel 10%
Permanent
