We are currently looking for a motivated Surface Design Engineer. This role will be responsible for the generation of aerodynamic surfaces required to support the aerodynamic development programme including:
All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:
Assess surface quality and legality of all group project surface files and feedback as required.
Develop time saving efficiencies within the surface model structures.
Work with CAD specialists to develop software improvements, including macros, to increase efficiency in the surfacing & model design process.
Monitor and adjust project specifications to suit varying workload and deadlines.
Finalise files, including legality checks, of surface to be released to full size production.
Maintaining appropriate reference documentation.
Guidance and tuition of junior surfacers.
Execute the day-to-day tasks, including keeping aero tracking systems up to date.
Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects;
To work in a professional manner at all times regardless of the task set and be pro-active in promoting a positive image for the department / team/ sponsors.
