The Athletes Marketing department aims to support business objectives. In this role, the Athlete Manager’s key mission is to ensure brand and product attribution while curating a top-quality portfolio of relevant national athletes and teams and leveraging Red Bull’s global athletes as the brand expands into mainstream playgrounds. He/she understands the athletes’ needs and challenges in performance, marketing and communications and provides professional support where needed and which is useful to the personal set up of athletes/teams. He/she controls the positive impact for our brand, co-operation efficiency (input/output ratio) and challenges for outstanding athletes’ & teams’ projects & initiatives where appropriate.
All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:
Contribute to the Athlete Marketing Strategy as defined by the Head of Athletes Marketing, ensuring alignment with business objectives, with a particular focus on rugby, road cycling & football.
Optimize impact and efficiency towards our global & national business challenges, with a focus on credible & visible product consumption @Sport as well as brand visibility.
Leverage existing athletes & teams in mainstream playgrounds by creating cross departement plans including all marketing activities (projects, communication, performance, sales, brand…) with high level of frequency.
Provide tailored support to each athlete or team with the optimal individual package consisting of marketing (tools, salary, bonus, etc.), communications and sportive performance.
Maintain a professional relationship with each athlete/team, ensuring strong brand and product attribution and efficient management through targeted goal-setting and evaluation in mass sports environments.
Identify and recruit new talent/team aligned with Red Bull's athletes marketing philosophy.
Maximize Red Bull’s Global athletes & teams impact in France.
Ideate and create unique projects with our athletes/teams managing the entire process from ideation to completion. Creativity and the range of disciplines/sports/playgrounds are unlimited.
Negotiate and manage athlete and team agreements and contracts, including setting clear performance expectations and goals aligned with brand objectives.
Establish a robust sports performance network among sports institutes, scientists, universities, trainers, clubs, and federations to facilitate nationwide scouting for potential future collaborations in key national sports disciplines. This includes gathering relevant insights on marketing and communication strategies specific to mainstream sports.
Collaborate with the Media Network team to create unique stories, engaging topics, innovative formats, and high-quality media content that resonates within the mainstream sports community.
Organize an efficient and reliable athlete’s/team’s tools and logistic workflow.
Inform responsibility (both directions) via the Red Bull Sportsnet for all athletes related topics (updated M.A.PING and factsheets, news-postings etc.)
Budget, brand & product appearance responsibility for all national athletes' & teams’ activities according to international benchmarks and guidelines.
Ensure an on-going internal follow-up within the Sports Marketing budget.
Support & ensure a perfect workflow with other marketing departments (Media Network, Brand, Field Marketing…) in all athletes/teams related topics to make the perfect outcome for the company.
Take ownership of collaboration within marketing to build our playgrounds approach and understand the opportunities across all other departments.
