The Athlete Specialist supports the Athlete Marketing program by coordinating athlete-related activities, managing day-to-day operations, and contributing to the planning and delivery of athlete projects and activations.
The role focuses on building strong relationships with athletes and key stakeholders, developing a solid understanding of athlete marketing and the wider sports ecosystem, and building the skills required to progressively take greater ownership of athlete initiatives.
SCOPE OF WORK
Coordinate athlete-related activities and maintain ongoing communication with athletes and relevant stakeholders.
Support athlete onboarding, scheduling, and overall project coordination.
Contribute to the planning and delivery of athlete projects, activations, appearances, and content productions.
Support budget tracking, documentation, and administrative follow-ups.
Develop knowledge of athlete marketing, athlete management, contracts, and relevant sports ecosystems.

Coordinate ongoing communication with athletes and relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Support athlete onboarding and maintain accurate athlete information, calendars, contracts, and deliverables.
Track athlete schedules, competitions, appearances, content commitments, and project requirements.
Build strong day-to-day relationships with athletes and develop a clear understanding of their sporting calendars, priorities, and individual needs.
Support alignment between athletes, internal teams, clubs, federations, and other relevant partners.
Support the planning and execution of athlete projects, activations, content productions, appearances, and other athlete-related initiatives.
Coordinate operational requirements across athletes, internal teams, agencies, clubs, federations, and external partners.
Support on-ground execution of athlete initiatives and ensure agreed requirements and deliverables are met.
Assist in athlete briefings and ensure athletes have the relevant information and support required for each project.
Contribute to smooth project delivery by identifying operational needs and following up with relevant stakeholders.
Maintain athlete trackers, contract documentation, calendars, project records, and relevant databases.
Track project budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and other administrative requirements.
Monitor athlete deliverables and project timelines to ensure commitments are completed as agreed.
Prepare regular athlete updates, project reports, post-project evaluations, and key learnings.
Support documentation and follow-up of athlete-related contractual and administrative requirements.
Develop a strong understanding of athlete marketing, athlete contracts, rights, deliverables, and brand-athlete partnerships.
Build knowledge of relevant sports ecosystems, competitions, federations, clubs, teams, and emerging talent.
Develop strong project management, stakeholder coordination, communication, and athlete-management capabilities.
Stay informed on developments and opportunities across relevant sports disciplines.
Actively seek feedback and learning opportunities to continuously develop within the Athlete Marketing function.
Progressively take greater ownership of athlete initiatives as experience and capabilities develop.
