Packaging Engineer

Are you excited by the idea of improving food packaging at the source—right on the production floor? Do you enjoy combining technical know-how, project ownership, and collaboration to turn packaging challenges into smart, practical solutions?

As a Packaging Engineer, you’ll play an important role in supporting packaging qualifications, optimization initiatives, and innovation projects across production sites and copackers. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, bringing technical insight to packaging and filling operations while helping ensure high standards in quality, efficiency, and documentation. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to operations, solving problems with data, and driving projects forward in a dynamic environment.

EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • 1–3  (or more) years of experience in packaging production across primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging, working with various materials or experience in food production
  • University degree in Technical Studies or Natural Science
  • Fluent in English
  • Understanding of technical requirements for packaging productions and filling operations
  • Ability to analyze production data and develop solutions for optimization
  • Experience managing or supporting interdisciplinary projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Openness to travel and confidence working with internal and external partners
  • Experience with metallurgy is beneficial
  • Travel 40-50%
